After years of silence, the festival that once united Sunyani in excitement and entertainment is back. Residents have hoped, begged, and petitioned for this comeback, and at long last, the authorities have listened. Some of us have been extremely passionate about seeing this iconic event return, even those of us who never got to experience it firsthand. Personally, I have always yearned for it because I’m told it used to be one of the biggest platforms to project our own talents and celebrate our culture.
Imagine being an entertainment person in Sunyani who has never been to Suncity Fest before — deɛ, na edey pain me oo! But now, that dream is finally coming to life.
