In celebration of this year’s Mother’s Day, Wensah Foundation International, has donated essential items to new mothers at both the Sunyani Municipal Hospital and the Sunyani Teaching Hospital.
The donation, aimed at supporting maternal health and celebrating the important role of mothers, saw dozens of new mothers receiving packages containing baby essentials and personal care items.
Mr. Isaac Osei, CEO of Wensah Foundation together with his team visited the maternity wards of both hospitals, where they interacted with mother’s who have just delivered, and hospital staff.
Speaking during the donation, a Mr. Osei emphasized the NGO’s commitment to promoting maternal and child welfare in Ghana. “Mother’s Day is a time to honor and support the incredible women who bring life into the world. This is just a small way of showing our appreciation and support,” He stated.
Hospital officials expressed their gratitude for the kind gesture and called on other organizations to emulate the foundation’s example.
The donation formed part of Wensah Foundation International’s ongoing efforts to improve livelihood, healthcare and social welfare in communities across the Bono Region.
