Correction: No New Omanhene for Sunyani Traditional Area…Yet!

In our earlier reports suggesting that Yaw Agyare had been elected as the new Paramount Chief of the Sunyani Traditional Area have been debunked by the Gyaasehene of the Sunyani Traditional Council.

In a press statement released today, December 24, 2024, Nana Kwadwo Boahen II described the claims as “false, baseless, and a clear example of disinformation.”

The Sunyani Traditional Council has assured the public that no decision has been made regarding the enstoolment of a new Omanhene.

The process of selecting a successor to the late Nana Bosoma Asor Nkrawiri II is guided by customs, traditions, and established protocols, which are well known to the custodians of the Sunyani Stool.

The Council has cautioned individuals and groups responsible for spreading the false information to desist from their actions, which only seek to disrupt the peace and unity of the Sunyani Traditional Area.

The public is urged to disregard these false claims and support the Council in maintaining peace and harmony.

Any official announcement regarding the succession to the Omanhene Stool will be communicated through the appropriate and authorized channels. For now, the Sunyani Traditional Area remains without a new Omanhene, and the public is advised to be patient and await the official announcement.

We at TheSnrKusi Media wish to extend our sincerest apologies for reporting earlier that Yaw Agyare had been elected as the new Paramount Chief of the Sunyani Traditional Area.

We regret the error and any confusion or inconvenience it may have caused. We strive to provide accurate and reliable information, and we fell short of this standard in this instance.

We appreciate the correction from the Sunyani Traditional Council and will ensure that our reporting is more accurate and thoroughgoing in the future.

Thank you for your understanding and continued trust in our platform.
