
Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II, Omanhene of Sunyani Traditional Area has told the Headmaster and Management of Sunyani Secondary School that the school is very dear to the Boahen Korkor family and the Sunyani Traditional Council and therefore nothing should be done to drag the name of the school into disrepute.
The call was made after a delegation from Sunyani Senior High School (SUSEC), led by the Headmaster, Mr. Gordon Osei Marfo had paid a courtesy visit to the Paramount Chief of the Sunyani Traditional Area, Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II, to discuss pressing school challenges and seek his intervention.
Mr. Osei Marfo expressed frustration over illegal encroachment on the school’s lands and appealed for the Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II support to reclaim and protect the institution’s property. The headmaster also pleaded for assistance in acquiring a befitting Titan truck to support the school’s athletics programs and enhance sports development.
Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II expressed displeasure over the cancellation of final-year examinations by WAEC officials due to malpractice issues. He advised the school to install CCTV cameras at exam centers to curb misconduct and pledged his support to facilitate the process.
Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II congratulated SUSEC for winning the Inter-Zonals Soccer Tournament and urged the school to continue improving its sporting activities.
He assigned Mr.Ransford Antwi,(Chairman of lands and projects committee Sunyani Traditional Council )to collaborate with the school to ensure their land was well protected, among others.
Odeefour Ogyeamansan Boahen Korkor II assured the school of his continuous support, stating that his doors remain open for further collaboration whenever needed.
