The 26th Telecel Ghana Music Awards (TGMA) lit up the Grand Arena of the Accra International Conference Centre on Saturday, May 10, 2025, celebrating the crème de la crème of Ghanaian music.
King Promise emerged as the evening’s biggest winner, clinching the coveted Artiste of the Year award, outshining heavyweights like Stonebwoy and King Paluta.
His triumph didn’t stop there; he also bagged awards for Best Afropop Song with “Paris,” Best Afrobeats/Afropop Artiste, and Album/EP of the year for his acclaimed project ‘True to Self’
To the ever-passionate fans of Stonebwoy and King Paluta: perhaps it’s time to consider a group therapy session? Your favorites put up a valiant fight, but King Promise was on a different wavelength this year.
Stonebwoy did secure Best Reggae/Dancehall Artiste and Best Reggae/Dancehall Song for “Psalm 23,” while King Paluta took home Best Highlife Song for “Aseda” and shared the Producer of the Year award with Kenny Beatz. Not too shabby, but let’s be honest-it’s not the crown.
