The Seventh Day Adventist (SDA) Church in Wenchi, Bono Region of Ghana, honored 20 girls aged 13-16 for maintaining their virginity.
Each girl received an undisclosed amount of money to support themselves. The church praised the girls for setting a good example and urged them to remain pure until marriage.
The church’s coordinator, Mrs. Nana Amponsah Poku, advised the girls to choose friends wisely and avoid promiscuity. She also suggested reviving traditional customs that promote virginity and prevent teenage pregnancies.
The church’s associate pastor, Pastor Andrews Dua Bour Kyere, commended the girls and encouraged others to follow their example.
The honored girls expressed gratitude to the church for supporting their spiritual growth.
