The University of Energy and Natural Resources (UENR) in Sunyani has elected a new Student Representative Council (SRC) President for the 2024/25 academic year.
Master Andrew Danso, a level-300 Mechanical Engineering student, has emerged victorious in the elections, garnering 1691 votes, representing 30.41% of the total votes cast.
Master Andrew, who ran alongside his running mate, Madam Cassandra Boachie, campaigned on a platform of prioritizing Academics, Student Welfare, Sports, and Entertainment.
His manifesto resonated with the student body, who have entrusted him with the responsibility of leading the SRC for the next academic year.
The Electoral Commission has officially declared Master Andrew Danso and Madam Cassandra Boachie the winners of the election, and they will be sworn in as the new SRC President and Vice President, respectively.
